Assam Health and Family Welfare Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma informed that 11 novel coronavirus (COVID-19) patients in the state have now been tested negative and cured.

Assam has so far reported 34 coronavirus cases including nine from Golaghat, six from Morigaon, four each from Nalbari, Goalpara, Dhubri, and one each from South Salmara, Kamrup (Metro), Kamrup, Karimganj, Lakhimpur, Cachar and Hailakandi.
Out of 34, one from Hailakandi district died on April 10th, 2020.
Sarma said that a total of 1,456 people who attended the Tablighi Jamaat congregation in Nizamuddin Markaz in Delhi have been traced and quarantined.
The Minister also mentioned that all the cases related to the Markaz are expected to close by April 20th, 2020 in Assam.
