Prateek Hajela Says No NRC Hearing On June 5

Cracking down on rumours related to National Register of Citizens (NRC) hearing, the state coordinator for NRC, Assam, Prateek Hajela on June 3^rd, 2019 said no hearing is scheduled on June 5^th, 2019.

Hajela in a series of tweet said, “Rumors are being spread by some miscreants that NRC Hearing is held on Eid (5th June 2019). This is to clarify that no hearing is scheduled on 5th June.”

He also said that no notice is sent to any claimant for June 5^th, 2019. “Notices were generated long back and no notice is sent to any claimant for 5th June. The public is requested not to pay attention to such rumours,” Hajela said in another tweet.
