Sikkim Bans Entry Of Tourists Till October Due To COVID-19 Breakout

As the number of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) seems to be increasing, the Sikkim government has decided to close its borders and no tourists will be allowed to visit the state till October.

The government of Sikkim has termed this step as a precautionary step against the spread of the virus. The state has not reported any confirmed COVID-19 case till date and further all precautions are being maintained the state which has a population of around 7 lakh.

The state so far has only tested 81 samples for the virus and all of them have turned negative
